She received her M.A. in Conference Interpreting and Translation (September 2000) by Universidad de Alicante, her B.A. in Technical Interpreting (February 2003) by Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal, Germany, and her PhD on Applied Linguistics (January 2011) by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
Her research activities mainly include Natural Language Processing (NLP), Translation and Ontologies. She is currently working on the inclusion and use of multilinguality and NLP features at different stages of the ontology development process. She has participated in several European and international projects, among others: NeOn, Lifecycle support for networked ontologies (FP6-027595), ICPS - International Classification for Patient Safety, a project of the World Health Organization, or the recently started Monnet, Multilingual Ontologies for Networked Knowledge (FP7-248458).
She has visited the Language Technology Lab of the DFKI German Research Centre in 2008, the Natural Language Processing Group of the University of Sheffield in 2009, and the Semantic Computing Group (CITEC) at the University of Bielefeld in 2011.
